Clifford Park Walk & Lecture
Clifford Park Walk & Lecture

The Biddeford Historical Society will lead a walk and lecture in the historical Clifford Park located on Pool Street in Biddeford on Saturday, October 8, beginning at 1:30 pm.

The walk will last about 1.5 hours. Wear appropriate footwear for walking on woods trails.  Among the places we'll visit is a former granite quarry, the Jordan cemetery, and a waterfall.

At 4:00 pm, join Dana Peck at Banded Brewing, 32 Main Street, Biddeford for a talk about how he found Arthur Mattson, author of Water & Ice, the story of the fatal shipwrecks of the Mexico and Bristol off the coast of Long Island, New York in the winter of 1836-37. Biddeford resident Noah Jordan was First Mate on the ship Mexico and among the many dead.
